Evaluating Information Technology on Campus

These Q&As on information technology at Iowa State are to help prospective students and their parents evaluate the use of information technology in campus life. The questions, were developed by EDUCAUSE (see below), as part of its online guide to help prospective students evaluate the information technology environment in colleges and universities. The information is divided into four key areas.

Academic Experience helps you understand how technology is used to support learning and collaboration in your areas of interest or possible major(s).

Administrative Experience covers which transactions and the services that support them can be handled online and at a distance.

Student Life has information about the technology tools that facilitate different communities on campus, allowing for communication, personal development, and getting together (in person and virtually).

Services and Fees will help you evaluate the benefits you will receive and do a comparison of costs.
