These instructions will help you get started with Microsoft Office Communicator by guiding you through the set up process on your computer.

1. Complete and submit the OCS order form. Once the order is received and fulfilled, you will receive an email with a link to download the OCS software.
2. From the message you receive, click on the link to download the OCS software for your OS (Windows or Mac OS X).
3. Windows users must install these four files:
   • Communicator.msi
   • Communicator-patch/communicator.msp
   • Live Meeting/LMsetup.exe
   • Live Meeting/confaddins_setup.exe
4. Mac users should install Communicator 2011 for Intel-based Macs or Messenger 7 for PowerPC-based Macs. Both installers can be found at smb://software.iastate.edu/ocs/macintosh. Note if you have Office 2011 installed, you already have Communicator 2011.
5. Once you have completed installation of these files, you can begin using OCS.
