These instructions will help you set up Outlook 2011 for ISU Exchange. These instructions apply to all Macintosh computers that are running on campus that do not require a VPN connection to access the network.
- The Account Setup Assistant should automatically start the first time you open Outlook 2011. If it does not, go to Tools > Accounts and click "Exchange Account".
- On the Accounts Window type in the following information:
- Email Address: yournetid@mail.iastate.edu
- Method: "User Name and Password"
- User name: yournetid
- Password: your NET-ID password
- Mark the box to "Configure automatically"
- Click on the "Add Account" button.
- You will get an alert message stating that "Outlook was redirected to the server exchange.iastate.edu to get new settings for your account…" :
- Mark the box to "Always use my response for this server".
- Click on the "Allow" button.
- Close the "Accounts" window. Outlook is now ready to use.
