You have two primary login IDs, your Net-ID and your University ID, along with unique passwords, that you will use to access online services at Iowa State University. If you need to register for any of these accounts, or have forgotten any of your account IDs or passwords, use the contact information listed below.
Your Net-ID is the first part of your Iowa State email address. For example, if your email address is "firstname.lastname@example.org," then your Net-ID is "pat." You choose your Net-ID password when you first register your Net-ID. You will need your Net-ID and password to access services such as your Iowa State email (CyMail or ISU Exchange), PaperCut, Blackboard, public computer labs, and site-licensed software.
To change your Net-ID, complete the Net-ID Change Request on ASW.
For questions related to your Net-ID and password and related accounts, contact the Solution Center, 515-294-4000.
Your University ID is assigned to you when you receive an ID card. You can find your ID on the front of your ID card or by logging in to AccessPlus with your social security number and clicking on "ISU IDs" on the AccessPlus home page. You will use your University ID with other unique passwords to log in to systems like AccessPlus and ADIN/ISUAS.
