ITS provides support for both online and face-to-face training.
Lynda.com is an online repository of video tutorials and project files that cover a broad range of both commercial and open-source software packages from leading vendors and community projects.
Student computer fees, administered by the Computation Advisory Committee funded a grant for a site license that allowed Iowa State University faculty, staff, and students to have free access to all the material on Lynda.com. The initial site license for Lynda.com was set to end at the conclusion of the CAC grant in 2012; however, funds from ITS, along with significant contributions from every college on campus allowed for renewal of the license for an additional year.
To access the tutorials and files, simply login to Lynda.com with your Iowa State University NetID and password.
There is also a Lynda.com app for iOS devices that allows mobile access to its content. In the app, choose "Web Portal Access" as the login option in order to use Iowa State's site license.
