| Description | AutoCAD, published by Autodesk, Inc., is a modular software package used extensively in the design and engineering industries. Through the Autodesk Education Master Suite 2010(formerly ACES and ADI) program/agreement ISU has access to a variety of CAD software modules at highly reduced pricing. |
| Restrictions | This software contract is funded year-to-year by collecting a "per seat" use fee. Distribution of the software is limited to paying departments. Not all Autodesk software is available under the AEMS agreement. Some software titles must be licensed separately at additional costs. Installation is limited to computer labs, classrooms and offices (institution owned machines) at the Ames campus and ISU Extension county offices. Installation sites must be identified and "registered" under the contract. Installation on student-owned machines is NOT allowed under the agreement. Note: Student use of Autodesk software is covered under separate license contracts. Only "authorized technical support callers" may contact Autodesk for technical support. All campus requests for technical support must be coordinated through these designated callers. |
