Applications Developer – Java Applications

Java developers work as part of a team creating various back-end integrations between enterprise systems (e.g. Canvas). Familiarity with IntelliJ and Spring are a plus.

Applications Developer – Mobile iOS/Android

Mobile developers work as part of a team supporting various iOS and Android applications (e.g. MyState). The iOS team and the Android team work closely together to ensure that features added to applications are supported across both platforms. For Android, experience with Java, the Android SDK, and Android Studio (IntelliJ) is ideal. For iOS, experience with Swift, Objective C, and Xcode is ideal.

Applications Developer – Web Applications

Web Application developers work as part of a team creating and supporting various web applications for IT Services and our campus partners. Part-time (student) employees are grouped with full-time developers to impliment solutions for our clients. The team generally works with PHP and Zend Framework but also supports customers using Drupal. Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML is also helpful.

Customer Success – Technical Support

The Solution Center provides a variety of technical support to students, staff, and faculty on campus. The ability to diagnose an issue and communicate solutions clearly with clients is of utmost importance.

Customer Success – Hardware Service & Repair

The Computer Repair Center helps students, faculty, staff, and ISU departments with a variety of hardware problems. Work can range from upgrading memory or drives to more challenging tasks such as diagnosing and replacing motherboards.

Security – Security Analyst

Security Analysts work with various aspects of system and network security. This position will work with a security information and event management (SIEM) tool called Splunk. The analyst will create metrics and dashboards to capture alerts and threats on a daily basis and display these on a dashboard for a month to month comparison and review. This position may be involved in integrating the dashboard with other information security applications. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in IT security and an understanding of threats, malware, and vulnerabilities.

In addition to completing an application, candidates should also consider completing the ITS Security Challenge.
