Phishing E-mail on Campus

A phishing e-mail attack has arrived on campus. The attack has a subject line "Iastate Information Technology" and requests users log in to a site to reactivate their IASTATE SSL VPN. (Iowa State will never request your ID and password via e-mail).

If you received the message: Do not click on the link. Delete the message immediately.

If you clicked on the link: The attacker stole your username and password. Complete the Security Incident Report Form and change your NetID password by contacting Your Solution Center.

If you ever receive e-mails or links requesting your credentials: Forward the e-mail to itsecurity@iastate.edu.
