Project Management Short Course on February 6

Want to learn more about project management in an afternoon? Check out the ’Introduction to Project Management“ short course on Monday, February 6, from 1:10 to 5:00 pm in 206 Durham Center. The class provides an introduction to the concepts and processes of managing projects, based on the standards of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and is taught by a Project Management Professional (PMP) who is a PMI member.

This introductory course is particularly appropriate for individuals who do not have previous project management training. Specific areas of discussion will include initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing a project. This class will provide an understanding of the communication and elements of projects, management of project progress, and how to guide projects to successful outcomes. Participants will be provided with a booklet outlining course content.

No fee is charged for the class but pre-registration is required. Class code is PC0010. (If you register and do not attend the class, a $10 fee is charged.)
