Applying Fair Use Doctrine Webinar

IT Services will be co-hosting a webinar with the Office of University Counsel and CELT on Wednesday, August 23, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. in 206 Durham Center. The webinar is entitled, "Applying Fair Use Doctrine to Colleges and Universities" and will be presented by Wesley D. Blakeslee, an intellectual property law expert from the John Hopkins University.

Attend this webinar to learn about current fair use doctrine effectively craft institutional use policies. You will see examples of how to understand the origins and evolution of fair use, determine if the use of a particular work is fair under the law, learn how fair use applies to materials used in the classroom, understand how fair use pertains to electronic reserves, and craft policy around fair use doctrine.
