WARNING!!! UPGRADE YOUR WEBMAIL ACCOUNT!!! TERMINATION OF YOUR IASTATE.EDU WEBMAIL ACCOUNT If you've received a message with one of the subject lines above (or something similar), do not reply. These are a type of phishing scam known as spear phishing because the scam is targeted at a specific audience. Some Iowa State email accounts are receiving variations of these emails alleging to be from "webmail Support Dept" or from Iowa State University. The message asks users to provide their email address, username, and password to verify their identity to avoid having their account closed. These emails are a scam. Do not reply to or click on links in these emails! If you did reply with your password, immediately go to https://asw.iastate.edu/cgi-bin/acropolis/user/password, and change your password. Iowa State University, IT Services, or the Solution Center will never ask you to send your password or other confidential personal information via email.
