The solution: Simplified URLs for personal websites, lockers (aka filesystems), and cgi scripts.
You can now do URLs in these forms:
The old naming conventions will still work so you don't have to convert or change anything.
The new convention also allows scripts to be run using URLs of the form:
To take advantage of the simpler naming convention, locker names can only use the letters a-z and numbers 0-9. At present, class locker names have special characters in them, which prevents the simpler URL naming convention from working with them.
