Secunia‘s Personal Software Inspector (PSI) enables software installed on Windows workstations to connect to the Secunia database to check for updates or patches. This includes software such as Adobe Acrobat, Flash, and Java, which are common targets of exploitation because updates are issued so frequently that it is difficult for users to keep the software current. Users who install and use both Secunia and our free antivirus protection will have the protection of two technical layers to safeguard their computers from exploitation. PSI is available to all current students free of charge. PSI is also available to faculty and staff home users. The program can be downloaded from http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/.
Secunia's Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) will be available to supported clients later this semester.
