Microsoft Exchange 2010

This news item expired November 17, 2011. It may contain out-of-date information.

In an effort to continually improve the services provided to campus, IT Services has begun the process of migrating to Microsoft Exchange 2010. This move will provide many enhancements to the campus for email. Some notable additions include Microsoft's redesign of Outlook Web Access to allow users the same experience across multiple browsers, and the ability for Mac Outlook 2011 users to create rules. This project began with the planning and design phases in the beginning of October and the implementation and testing phase will continue through November. Following testing, we will create documentation and work with colleges and departments to plan the migration of their mailboxes.

As with Exchange 2007 we are designing a comprehensive environment capable of withstanding both a server loss and a site loss. With the increasing demands of the mobile user, we have also designed the environment to include additional client access servers. As we proceed we will be asking for some test users and early adopters. If you are interested, please contact
