Hiring Student iOS Mobile Application Developers
IT Services is currently hiring student iOS Mobile Application Developers who will help pilot a project to provide mobile application development for IT Services and other departments on campus. Work includes iOS development, exploration in mobile technologies, and working with web developers to create mobile-friendly websites.
You must have some experience with iOS development.
For this position, applicants must be familiar with Objective C, Xcode, and the iOS SDK. Applicants must have some mobile application development experience through personal interests and projects, a student organization, or professional experience.
Applicants must also be familiar with standard programming principles and concepts; be able to work in a team environment as well as independently; be detail-oriented, creative, and self-motivated; and have strong communication skills and facility with standard American English.
Starting wage for this position is $12/hour.
Student employees are expected to work between 15-20 hours/week during the semester and may work up to 40 hours/week during the breaks and summer. We're also happy to work with you on developing summer internships.
Position is for at least 2 semesters (but will hopefully continue).
The current funding for this position is only for Fall 2012 and Spring 2012. However, if the project proves successful, it will likely continue and become an ongoing team within IT Services. At the moment, we're specifically looking for students who are available this Fall and coming Spring semester.
