New Phone System: Information Coming!
Implementation for an all-new cloud-based phone system is scheduled to begin May 1. Information about the new phone system including rates, new features and the tentative implementation schedule will be posted to the Telephone for Faculty & Staff service page on Monday, April 15. The schedule may change throughout the eight-week implementation process, so keep an eye on IT News for any updates.
Information will also be available from your department voice/data coordinator, who has been invited to an informational meeting about the system on Thursday, April 11. If you are a coordinator, and you have not received an invitation to an informational session on April 11, call 4-8565 for details.
When you get your new phone, you will be in control. You will be able to establish a number of your personal settings through your computer. Coordinators will be trained on the new phone system first. Additional training will be available online.
