ITS security officials are aware of several suspicious email messages that have been received on campus recently. Two are cause for an elevated level of concern.

The first email purports to be a required form for employee reimbursement for vehicle expenses with the subject "Annual Form - Authorization to Use Privately Owned Vehicle on State Business". The second email has a subject of "Re: TAX EXEMPTION NOTIFICATION" and has an attached forgery of an IRS form.

Both of these messages are attempts to obtain sensitive personal information from the recipient. Please do not open attachments, download files, or follow web links in email messages that have an unusual sender or that you are not expecting.
