Default filespace increased to 1 gigabyte

This news item expired June 10, 2005. It may contain out-of-date information.
On Wednesday, June 1, the default disk quota for a Net-ID increased to 1 GB (gigabyte) from the default of 500 MB implemented earlier this year. When you registered for an Iowa State Net-ID, you received networked disk space for your use. The filespace, associated with your home directory, is used by WebMail and Unix mail system files. You can also use the allocation for your personal webspace and any other files you‘d like to access from a central location. To see how much of your filespace you are using, see (select Manage Filesystems -> View/Update a Filesystem's Quota Allocations and enter your Net-ID for the quota name).
