Internet Explorer Security Flaw Patched

Microsoft has released an emergency patch to address the recent Internet Explorer (IE) security vulnerability.

The patch has been available on ITS update servers since it was released by Microsoft. If your machine is set to install updates automatically, the patch may already have been installed.

To check if the patch has been installed on your machine, go to Control Panel > Windows Updates > View Update History. Sort updates by date and look for an update titled "Security Update for Internet Explorer XX for Windows X xXX-based Systems (KB2964358)". If the update has not yet been applied, or just to make sure, go to Control Panel > Windows Updates > Check for Updates. Apply any available updates.
