Ten Steps to get you started with IT at Iowa State.
1. Know Your Net-ID Password and Keep It Safe
Your Net-ID allows you to log into computers on campus and access other personal information so never share it.

2. Connect to Campus Internet
Wired internet may be available to you through your department. Contact Your Solution Center for availability.
3. Access Your E-mail Account (Exchange)
Exchange provides e-mail and calendaring in an integrated environment.
4. Install Free or Discounted Software
Iowa State has a large volume of software available to you at no charge. Browse and download software for faculty and staff.
5. Get Communicating
Telephone service is provided to faculty and staff to suit their telecommunication needs on campus. Visit the Telephone Services page to learn more.
Video and web conferencing allows for meetings between individuals and small groups in remote locations while reducing travel time and costs. Visit the Web Conferencing page for more information.

Record Content with Iowa State's video capture software, Panopto. Panopto enables instructors to record videos of lectures, presentations, and supplementary material.

9. Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3
Bubble sheet tests and scoring services are available for exams, surveys, and teacher evaluations. Visit the Test & Evaluation Services page for more information about administering and scoring exams using bubble sheets.
