Accounts & Passwords

ITS has equipment and facilities to support high-quality video and web conferencing with dedicated Polycom equipment.
Virtual Applications (Thin Apps)
ITS offers application virtualization using the ThinApp product from VMware, which allows applications to be run from a local machine or network share without installing them on the operating system.
Virtual Desktops (Thin Clients, VDI)
VDI allows users to connect their desktop environment remotely with a "thin client” so that the software, hardware, and operating system are on a remote server maintained by an IT professional.
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
VPN enables you to log into the Iowa State network safely and securely, so that your computer becomes a virtual campus computer with access to campus network services.
