Collaborative Learning Spaces
The Durham Center is host to six collaborative learning spaces designed especially for student project meetings and work sessions.
There are many computer labs on campus, including public labs and college and department labs.
Computer Service & Repair
Computer Service, located in 74 Durham Center, helps Iowa State University students, faculty, staff, and departments with a variety of hardware problems and repairs.
Desktop Support (Core & CorePlus)
ITS provides two levels of desktop technology support at Iowa State University, Core and CorePlus.
Equipment & Laptop Checkout for Students
Media equipment and laptop computers are available for currently enrolled ISU students to borrow at no charge.
FileMaker Server Advanced
ITS offers a shared FileMaker Server Advanced database software service available for campus.
Media Enhanced Classrooms
ITS is responsible for maintaining media equipment in general classrooms across campus.
Microsoft (MS) Query
ITS supports the use of Microsoft Query (MS Query), a data retrieval tool for bringing data from external databases directly into Microsoft Excel.
Printing for Students (PaperCut)
Students can print documents on any networked printer on campus through the use of a commercial software program called PaperCut.

ITS offers site-licensed and other software specific to Iowa State University available for download.
System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
SCCM allows campus IT administrators to centrally deploy software applications, operating systems, updates, patches, and gather reporting information for departmental Windows-based workstations.
Virtual Applications (Thin Apps)
ITS offers application virtualization using the ThinApp product from VMware, which allows applications to be run from a local machine or network share without installing them on the operating system.
