To place an international long distance call:
- For * country codes: Dial 8 + 1 + country code + local number.
- For all other countries: Dial 8 + 011 + country code + city code + local number.

Domestic long distance calls cost $.05/minute.

Cellular telephones, service plans, aircards, and tablets are available to faculty and staff for university business purposes. These phones are available through the university’s contracted cellular service providers.
University employees are eligible for discounted personal cellular telephone plans. To verify eligibility, contact a university cellular service provider, identify yourself as an Iowa State employee, and ask for current options and pricing.
