Using these verified tools ensures that your information remains safe and secure. These tools have been thoroughly vetted by various campus units, including the IT Security team, to maintain the security of university information.

Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered assistant that powers you to draft emails, create documents and analyze data, all within the familiar Microsoft 365 environment. You have free access to Copilot as part of the university's use of Microsoft products. 

You can access Copilot by visiting copilot.microsoft.com and logging in with your ISU email address or by adding the app to your sign on dashboard at login.iastate.edu

Grammarly

Grammarly is an AI-powered digital writing assistant designed to help users improve their writing skills. It offers real-time suggestions for grammar, punctuation, style and tone, making it easier to produce clear and effective written communication. 

You can access Grammarly by visiting app.grammarly.com and logging in with your ISU email address or by adding the app to your sign on dashboard at login.iastate.edu. You can also add Grammarly as a browser extension by searching in your preferred browser extension store.

Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is a generative AI tool that assists with photo editing, graphic design and image gernation. Firefly is trained on a diverse set of images from Creative Commons, Wikimedia, Flickr Commons, Adobe Stock and public domain content, ensuring that its outputs are commercially safe.

You can access Firefly by visiting adobe.firefly.com or by adding the app to your sign on dashboard at login.iastate.edu. You may need to request access from your local IT support professionals.
