At Iowa State University, we’re committed to ensuring that all digital content is accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you’ve encountered an issue accessing a website, document, video, form, course, or any other digital resource, we want to hear from you. Your feedback helps us identify and fix barriers and create a more accessible digital experience.

Once submitted, your report will be reviewed by the ISU Digital Accessibility team. If you’ve indicated you would like a follow-up on your report, we will follow up with you for clarification or updates. Each report helps us improve digital accessibility across campus.

  When to Use the Form

Use the Digital Accessibility Barrier Reporting form to report a digital accessibility barrier with Iowa State University websites, documents, videos, forms, course materials, software, or other digital resources.

A digital accessibility barrier is anything that prevents someone from accessing, using, understanding, or completing a digital task because of a disability-related access issue. Examples can include inaccessible PDFs, videos without captions, online forms that do not work with a keyboard or screen reader, Canvas content that is not accessible, or university digital tools or software that are difficult to use with assistive technology.

The form may be used by students, employees, visitors, or members of the public.

 What Can You Report?

You can use the form to report:

  • Inaccessible websites or web pages
  • PDF, Word, or PowerPoint files that aren’t accessible
  • Videos without captions or transcripts
  • Online forms that are difficult to navigate
  • Learning platforms like Canvas with accessibility issues
  • Course content within your courses
  • Any other digital tools or resources that pose accessibility barriers
