Student multifactor authentication campaign achieves 100% activation rate

Information Technology Services (ITS), in partnership with communications colleagues across campus, successfully delivered a robust communications campaign throughout October, encouraging student Cyclones to activate multifactor authentication (MFA). As of November 13, all Iowa State students had been activated.

Laptop Loaner Program Provides Solution to New Computer Requirement

As Iowa State University students geared up for an earlier-than-normal start to the semester, an extra to-do was added to their list: acquire a laptop. Beginning fall 2020, all students enrolled at Iowa State University are required to own or obtain a laptop computer or other device appropriate to their discipline.

Information Technology Services concludes campus-wide listening sessions

A new strategic plan to help guide Iowa State University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department is in the works, with the help of recently collected feedback from stakeholder groups across campus.

Starting in April, an engagement project designed to gather information about the strengths and weaknesses of ITS was kickstarted by Chief Information Officer (CIO) Kristen Constant, as part of efforts to create a new five-year department strategic plan to replace its predecessor — which expired in 2015.
